I received a call on one Sunday morning from one of my customer. The manager said that the conveyor was shut down do to a blown hose from the hydraulic power pack. After going to the shop and picking up a crimper and hose, I was on my way there. When I arrived, I noticed that they were running cars with the conveyor. Confused, I went to look at the hoses. Upon inspection I found a Dr. Pepper can that had the top and bottom cut off, and then wrapped around the hose several times with four hose clamp to hold it in place. There were no leaks present near the repaired are, and the manager opted to wait until Monday morning to replace the hose.

Quick thinking but would it have taken very much time to change it out with another hose. We keep several hoses of each length we use in stock just incase this does happen.
