Fixing a scratched motorcycle windshield

Today I came back from helping a customer at the car wash and found a very frustrated employee. After I told him to use plastic polish on the w. shield of a bike we're detailing he decided it'd be better to use STEEL WOOL!

It was badly scratched. We remedied the problem by machine buffing the clear plastic windshield with a yellow foam waffle pad and some buffered compound. Finished with hand glaze. Disaster averted!

YIKES but Good Fix!

When I was in college in gainesville I worked at a car wash doing sales. Growing up my dad always trained us to look the car over as you walk up to it for damages and things/issues you could upsell on.

So as I walked up to a car I noticed the front had odd thin "swirly" scratches. I asked the owner "what happened to the front of your car?" He replied, I couldn't get the love bugs off so I used steel wool". He chuckled proudly.
