I have used www.uship.com recently. It's just like Ebay, but for shipping. You can even use PayPal, set max price, etc... I received 3 quotes within a matter of a couple of hours. I sent a 500lb. palletized machine from SC to Ca for just over $300. It was much easier that I could have expected.
