Whose Talking
Mainline Vac Systems...who builds the best producer?
I've had Sonny's, Hanna, and Spencer systems. Who do you think is best and why?

I have 3 Hanna 20-HP producers and one Vacutech 25-HP producer at my wash in ATL. One of our Hannna vacs broke down after a year and we replaced it with vacutech. Each 2 producers pull about 14 drops and to be honest, the suction could be better. It is better on the side we have the vacutech producer.
At our new wash we went with 4 25-HP vacutech producers. But that cost us around $45,000. I will be looking for a cheaper option next time.
hp#/drop#= horsepower per drop
ie: 20hp motor/8 drops = 2.5hp/drop
I taught junior high math 10 years in my former life.
I had an old hanna producer that did ok when I needed only 4 drops (I was a 10 HP in fact). But when I added an extra lane (where my XPT is) I had to move it to the back side of the tunnel, about 70' from where it was. The distance really cut back the air flow so I upgraded. The Hanna was ok.... it only cost me $1000 as it was a repo for not paying my installer so I got it cheap (any of you missing a 10 HP hanna producer?).
I installed a 25 HP VACUTECH refeb now almost 2 years ago. It only cost me $2500. It works great even with over 100' of 4" pipe and 8 drops (2 are crevice tools in the holders). For the money the vacutech referb was a bargin.... weighs a ton! I run it on 480V. The separator is from Sonny's which is ok, but my understanding is that the bags are too small.
While I like Sonny's equipment... I'd stronly recommend the Vacutec producer.
