Clear view bi fold doors
These doors came out about two years ago but are based on the bi fold doors that Ryko has built for over 17 years. Originally clad in aluminum with 4 small windows, this new version is as reliable as its forerunner. We have installed quite a few in our area since the introduction in both Ibo's and tunnel washes.

Priced about the same as a quality overhead door, they are designed specifically for car washes. They are air operated and have a rubber protective end covers that are air switch controlled for a fast open feature to prevent any damage. The best part is that if some one runs into the door, it will flex and the guide pin will pop out of the track. The pin can then be reinstalled and the wash running in a very short time! I can get pictures of a running site if anyone is interested.

We have the first set of the clear view doors and I will tell you they are not easy to keep clean we have tried Ryko General Purpose cleaner, Lime a Way, etc and it still has a haze to them I see now that Ryko has designed a manifold system to where it applies spot free water on the windoiws when the wash is complete but it doesn't work so I know now why some washes who installed these types of doors are getting rid of them "Too much maintenance" unless they have a spray on rinse off chemical that will tackle clear view windows without scrubing just like Nu-Wall for walls now they need the same for these doors all in all they are great doors but they are a pain to keep clean. Does anybody know a better cleaner?
What type of wash do you have? Most of ours doors have been installed on tunnels and softgloss washes. Our first set was installed about a year ago and so far none have even been cleaned (no need to). I will assume you have a touchless wash. If that is the case, what brand of chemicals are you using? Is this a two step? Do you have any pictures of this problem, I am sure Ryko will want to know about this. I would think you could use the same cleaner you would use on any polycarbonate door.
If you know of anyone wanting to get rid of their doors, please let me know as I can easily find buyers.
I have the wash across the street from Ryko Mfg we have all Ryko equipment and chemicals, these doors were great when installed and we cleaned them every other day but we started to lose that battle and are now looking for a better cleaner (NOT HF!)any ideas?
Are you having problems with the softgloss too? What chemicals are you using? Have you asked Ryko about the problem?
We are using Prep pro 1 & 2, 3 Trifoam soap and wax, rasberry clear-coat, wax luster both bay doors have this problem and yes ryko is aware but don't care.
