Whose Talking
Glass Car Wash Buildings
Can someone give me information about glass car wash buildings and how
they would fit into our Vermont climate? Thanks.

Do a web search. There are several mfrs of them now. I don't think there would be a problem, most of them have insulated glass which I hate in the South. (too much failure)
I talked my self out this when I visited glass building sites that where several years old. They look very hard to keep clean, every joint & fastener accumulates grime.
I like what Panama Jim did - but you have to be in mild climate to get away with all the "openess" of his design.
Yes we have a 6/1 glass building. Ours is 2 and 1/2 years old. Yes it is not fun to keep clean. Would I put another one up? Probably not. Have you looked at the Genesis Modular buildings? They are very nice and you can add glass to them or to a conventional block building too.
Have you all heard about Shinn Buildings? They specialize in glass buildings at great prices. Albert Shinn is the owner and a terrific businessman. Their website is www.shinnbuildings.com. It's loaded with pictures. Good luck!
We have a wash with a lot of glass, and it is tough to keep clean. Although we tried Kleen Wall on it last week and had amazing results. But overall, I would not recomment a lot of glass.
I have attached a picture of a modular building I came across that looks pretty good. I forget the name of the company but you can reach Arlyn Ross at 615.855.1818 if you want more information.
Cbay this link should help you in your quest for a building. You might want to do a search on modular buildings as well.
Fortunately my latest has open sides and it's 22 feet wide. I would definitely recommend 22+ on the width or installing cheap (single pane) glass with the plan in mind to change it out every 3-4 years.
