Bio Shine Tire Dressing

Upon the recommendation of a fellow operator(Ronnie-Milton), I tried this new tire dressing. Not as thick as pad perfect, no silicones, but only $8.70 per gallon. Shines as well as pad perfect the first hour then diminishes and you can tell a difference for a couple of days (dark but not shiny tires). For me it's good enough. And now after using my first pallet, it seems good enough for the customers.

I was able to pick up FL, GA, and AL as distributor. Ben Alford has switched to Bio Shine and is distributor for LA, MS and TX.

Do they have their own pads? Do you have to change out the nozzles? If you have a phone number please let me know. Thanks, Jeff

No free pads...but you can afford to buy them with $8.70/gallon product. How often are you changing them? You may have too much pressure against the tire.
Jeff, Call me about nozzel changes...this product is very thin.

I am a distributor here in Pennsylvania for Bioshine.
This is a very good product.

I think the popularity of Bioshine will continue to grow as more people learn about it.

It believe it will be as popular as Rain-X in the next few years.

Anyone reading this is encouraged to try this "new fantastic product".

I have not tried it, but most of the reports I've read say that it is very thin, and only lasts for a matter of hours.

I'd like to hear from some other operators who are using it who are not distributors.

I'm putting in two tire dressing machines this winter, so I am interested in honest reports.

I use it after the cars come out of the tunnel. I like it.
I cannot comment on this product in tunnel tire dressing machines, but I know the developer of this product had worked closedly with a new car wash facility here in Pittsburgh. I understand the operator of this wash is pleased with the results.

We use BIO shine here in Houston and it works pretty well. One of the owners dressed his tires yesterday and they still have a nice gloss. It is very, very thin. we have gone done to 01 nozzles for the most part. We have tried many products. And the cost, you have to love.

Yes, I'm a distributor but an operator first and foremost. It's thin, it doesn't last without silicones. It shines great at first then begins to dry. Newer/smaller tires the shine lasts longer. I've gotten a lot of negative reactions from operators but almost no negative reactions from customers. Maybe we, as operators, expect the tires to shine longer than the car stays clean? Not everyone likes shiny tires.

You have to "want to" use it. Advantages are: possible lower costs; your parking lot and driveway will not be slick and will begin to loose the black look; no splash back (I've seen splash back from some silcones on exterior rear view mirrors from silicones); better for reclaim systems; better for the environment.

Is it for everybody, nope!

I'm happiest at my site with a rotating cloth tire applicator. The "vegetable fat" builds up on the material and improves application after time. This product is made from the waste of bio-diesel(vegetable oil) production and qlycerine(hand lotion). Hence the build up. I'm on reclaim at that site and haven't noticed any changes thus far.

Time will tell for us all!

Hey Jimmy Im about to use the sample you sent me, what pressure do you have on the sides? and how much time?Pressure?

reply by PanamaJim about 1 year ago

With the rotating tire cloth brush I'm set for 3.5 feet of spray with 4 - 01e65 jets on the unit. The sprayers aim from the beginning and middle of each brush towards the end. If I had more jets or 02e65s, I would spray shorter term.

I have the simoniz tire shine, right now i have the side pressure at 10psi and the flowjet set to 20psi. The time is set at .005 mil sec. Im getting a pretty good tire. The shine is low but you can tell its been applied.

wash96,

You are using simoniz on those settings. I have had problems with putting too much on low profile tires. They get gooped on. Jimmy is sending me a sample of the Bio Shine. I'll let you all know how it works. Jeff

We are using the lastest version and just ordered another pallet. We have had some issues with earlier version but it looks like they have worked the kinks out and we are excited about it.
