Well it looks like we will be able to get the 6 bay SS car wash my tenent bank rupted back into service very soon. I am looking for ideas on how to approach this.

I have hired a local Car Wash mechanic recommended by Wind Trax to help. I have made arrangements to send the money changer to the factory for rebuild as we know this was a constant problem before. Name, doese the place need name.

Also price. What about lowering the price to say a $1.00 to get people back. ??????

My intentions are to start it up and make it work properly fixen what ever needs fixen and make it a dependable operation. But being a complete novice at this, I would really love to hear what you guys might think I should be doing to turn this Car Wash around and make it profitable.
Thanks

Here are a few things off the top of my head. I'm sure there will be more people adding to this short list.

Work from the inside out. Everything should perform as close to new before the big promo. Do your cosmetic upgrades last.

Everything the customer touches needs to look like new. This includes vacuum hoses , high pressure hoses, trigger guns, wands, decals on faceplates, menu boards etc. Probably about a 1-2 K expense.

Get customer service signs made with your phone number on them.

Acid wash the walls and pressure wash the entire lot down.

Have the service guy check everything and get him to re-adjust the chemical. Tell him not to be too stingy with the stuff and that you wan the best show in town. Chemical is relatively cheap and SS is show business. Everything should look and smell good.

While he is there, get the service guy to show you how to clean vacs and their filters out properly, how to clear bill and coin jams on the changer, and how to properly clear coin jams in the various equipment.

I would probably do a soft opening because it is likely a few new problems will occur. Then do a grand opening after you've been running a couple of weeks.
