Is JEEP a Scapegoat for Human Error?

Is JEEP getting a bad rap with "unintended acceleration"? Maybe it's human error, not mechanical. Are there any incidents of "Unintended Acceleration"like those attributed to Jeeps occurring in exterior carwashes?

I suppose we might never hear about them, due to the circumstances, but it does seem odd that the issue seems only to crop up at full-service washes with unfamiliar carwash drivers involved.

Can anyone shed some light on this consideration?

I witnessed a Cherokee get very squirrely while lining up in my IBA once. I don't know if it was driver error, but appeared to be.

I had a Grand Cherokee for eleven years (I drive a hummer now)with 184K miles. I never had a problem nor knew anyone else that did either. Never had a problem with them at my wash.

I had a jeep grand cherokee and never had any problems. My sister had a jeep cherokee and that car needed a bigger engine, had bad resell and is actually pretty small inside.

So my theory on the jeep cherokee is: Maybe the combined delay with acceleration, the lack of power, and cramped cabin area caused the bad driving? At least that would be my guess.

Every time that I've witnessed sudden acceleration in the full-service industry has been due to either operator error or failure to follow company process' and policies.
3 out of the 5 that I've seen had to do with the floor mat lying on the pedals causing the accelerator to be pushed even though the driver intended to be stepping on the brake.
