I think I'm learning enough about my carpet extractor lately to build my own soon. Maybe within a year I'll post some pictures of a prototype.

Does not take much to make one:

A container for the solution
A container for the waste
A vacuum motor
A diaphram pump
A In line heater
A Vacuum hose
A Heat Resistent solution line
A Stainless Steel Nozzle

If you want I can sell you all the parts save the container which you will have to make yourself.

I eliminated the in-line heater on mine last month with a $45 bucket heater from Agway. They wanted $500+ for an in-line unit.

The bucket heater warms the entire clean solution tank in about 45 minutes.
