Leading the Detail Industry in Promoting Go Green Business Practicies

Lodi, California – April 15, 2008 – The National Association for Professional Detailing and Reconditioning (NAPDR) has formed the first Environmental Compliance Council (ECC) representing the detail and reconditioning industry to address the growing number of environmental issues and business practices.

Diana Bean, Chairman for the NAPDR states the NAPDR recognizes the importance of fully participating in all matters dealing with the clean water act and also the compliance and enforcement of any law or regulations pertaining to this act. This is even more relevant today as municipalities across the country are enacting stricter enforcement of the laws and communities are facing water restrictions throughout.

Already the industry has begun to develop and introduce eco friendly products, water conservation techniques, and there is ongoing research to continue this trend. The NAPDR understands that by participating in an eco-friendly initiative, not only will its future as a viable entity be secured, but most importantly the well being of the nation.

The NAPDR has been engaging in dialogue with industry experts and one of the primary goals is to educate its members and the community of detailers, on adherence of the clean water act and finding eco-friendly alternatives to washing with a minimal discharge of water.

The ECC council will work with the detailing community, regional, state and local car wash associations as well as other groups to ensure the success of these eco- friendly initiatives.

To jump-start the go-green compliance and education initiative the NAPDR has named to the ECC Council experts from the detailing, manufacturing and compliance sector of the industry.
