What do you detailers think of a product that would be a lubricant for body clay and at the same time apply a coat of protective wax?

Pros and cons please.

We have used some of those products(instant shine)for clay lubricants and they seem to function well as a lubricant but wouldn't the clay bar action remove any protective properties? I don't quite understand how you can achieve the polish/cleaning effect of clay while at the same time give an adequate protective service. I would certainly love the reduced processing time.

Would this product build up quickly on the clay bar?

We use a awesome car wash soap to lube our bars. Only need a drop, and I mean a drop of soap in a one gallon Home Depot type home paint bucket and fill half way with water. I am afraid that a mixture would coat your bar and reduce it's effectivness, and also smear up the vehicle.

I have had great success using windex as a lubricant. It works well, its cheap, and you can use it in a spray bottle and control the amount and location of the fluid better. Jeremy
