I'm building a new detail shop!

Currently I lease a building next to my new car wash. I've been detailing cars here for 11 years. When I built the wash last year I 'saved' a spot to build a detail shop so I could eventually move out of my old building and into one I will own.

I'm happy to report that the permitting process has now begun, starting with a 'special permit' required by my town.

I'm excited about this project and plan to submit pictures and text updates as it progresses.

Update;

-met with my banker.
-had site plan and engineering work completed.
-chose a builder.
-got plans completed.
-prepared and submitted package for planning board review.
-scheduled special permit hearing/paid fee.

why do you have a barber's chair?

Well, alot has happened in the last couple weeks. Here is a photo of the new construction. I'm getting very excited to move and finally have my very own garage to do my detailing. It's the culmination of 23 years of car cleaning and I must say I'm pretty proud of myself and grateful for all my opportunities.

I bought some very cool lights for this gable end of the building that my wife found on the 'interweb' and will post a picture of them when they are installed. Over the garage doors and office door will be antique streetlights.

Cool, I've been considering some sort of unique accent lighting myself. I look forward to your pics.
