IBA add on to tunnel
Just wondering if anyone did any special promos or pricing to kickoff a new IBA. I added a Oasis Typhoon to our 120ft tunell but was asking you experts about any sweet tricks for brining in New customers for the IBA. We offer free vacs with the tunnel and IBA and this has helped a little but maybe a little more will kick things really off! Thanks

The question to ask yourself in coming up with a promotion to promote the inbay automatic is
"why would the customer want to use the inbay automatic vs your tunnel wash?"
If it is "touchless" and you promote that aspect of the system, would that not, in a sense, criticize your tunnel wash, which I assume is friction?

Bud Abraham
My tunnel wash is friction but for our area the demand for a quality touchfree wash was there so I closed my flexserve operation and built the IBA. I offer two styles of washes on what lot with free vacs. I don't think I'm critisizing my tunnel by offering both wash styles I have come to the conclusion that cloth poeople stay with the tunnel and my touchfree people will not make the venture into the tunnel. But all customers will use the machine before and after hours. My post was to gather some info on special pricing or promos for my IBA I'm not at least worried about my 100,000 car count a year in the cloth tunnel.
Try free washes for a day and advertise heavily prior to. Give away only your top package.
I'm not sure how offering multiple choices for the customer could ever be negative. Is promoting an SS wash a criticism of IBA? Not in my opinion. Lets face it; there are friction and non friction customers. Serving both is a great idea if your situation allows for it.
what would you pay 7/7 days 12 hours manager/does everything..1 part time employee.......what is that manager worth
Happy hour from 6 to 8 pm, have an attendant pass out discount tokens for the IBA.
Go up and down the street and pass out tokens to employees at all the businesses....
Thanks for the advice jim but my area of town has widely spaced out businesses and I think the residential areas may have cars but may not have all there tires on them. I do offer coupons will the local restaurants, butchershop and convienince stores. I just put on my reader board $5 express touchfree wash with FREE VACS. I saw about 16 cars more then my thursday average and it's supposed to rain tonite and friday. People are short on cash and hopefully it will get people on the lot to try the IBA and witness the extras ie. free vacs, courtsey towels and glass cleaner. I spoke to alot of new customers but i need to outreach more then just my reader street sign. It's really difficult because my tunnel is going like a banche and my IBA comes in waves. Right now my lot is full and IBA is goin but how long do I run 5 bucks, I only discounted from 6 dollars but people driving by just see 5 wash and free vac!!! I nver had to discount the tunnel so any advice would be greatly apprecaited!!!
